use bar clamps to make temporary work table
        • Time

          2 hours

        • Price Range

          $1 - $50

        • Difficulty

          Easy

        Highlights:

        Step 1: Cut the Plywood

Cut a piece of plywood for the table top no larger than 4' x 4', any larger and the table would sag. The table can be any shape desired.

        Step 2: Attach the Clamps

Get four clamps of the same size (Image 1). Use either pipe clamps or standard bar clamps as long as they are a good length for substitution as table legs.

Attach a bar clamp to each corner of a piece of plywood (Image 2). Once the clamps are in place, spread them out a little bit to add a little more stability.

Step 3: Create a Makeshift Vise

Take 2- 2" x 4" blocks and clamp them to the work table with 'C' clamps (Image 1).

Clamp the board (Image 2) you want to plane, glue or sand to the blocks.

Note: This makeshift vise works best with vertical pieces.

Proceed to plane, glue or sand.
