        • Time

        • Price Range

          $500 - $1,000

        • Difficulty

          Moderate

        Highlights:

Step 1: Find the Center of the Room

The tiles should be conditioned to the temperature of the room 24 hours prior to installation.

Start by calculating the center of the room.

Step 2: Cut and Lay the Tiles

Lay the tiles from the center working out toward the walls by using a mallet to lock them together. Lay the full tiles, then proceed with the trimmed tiles around the walls.

The tiles can be easily cut with a sharp utility knife or electric saw.

Step 3: Leave an Expansion Gap

A space of 1/4" expansion gap should be left at the walls and any other obstacles, such as pillars and extremely heavy equipment.

Under normal circumstances the tile does not require adhesives. However, adhesives should be used if the floor is exposed to high temperatures. Tiles must resist high dynamic pressure.

Tiles should be laid around heavy machinery and not under them.
